The Project consists of constructing approximately 3,330 linear feet of 6-inch water mains, 680 linear feet of 2-in water mains, and related appurtenances on Pinewood Forest Drive and Plainview Road.

Bid Info:   Sealed Bids for the construction of the FY20 SHORT WATER LINE EXTENSIONS – Phase 1 will be received by Union County, at 500 N. Main Street, Suite 709, Monroe, North Carolina 28112, at which time Union County will open bids in accordance with N.C.G.S. § 143-131. A public bid opening will not occur.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing via email to Cheryl Wright, Director Procurement (Procurement contact) at cheryl.wright@unioncountync.gov. Deadline for questions is 5pm on April 29, 2020. The Procurement representative will secure applicable answers from WK Dickson & Co., Inc. and/or Union County staff accordingly. If needed an addendum will be issued.

Bidders must have a license to do work as a general contractor in the State of North Carolina, as set forth under Article 1 of Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. The Contractor’s North Carolina License number shall be designated on the outside of the envelope containing the bid.

Bidders are required to comply with the non-collusion requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Union County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
