Marshville, NC Elevated Tank Refurbishment (20210007.00.CL)

The project consists of refurbishment of an existing elevated tanked tank as summarized below.

A. Refurbishment of a 1.0-million-gallon multi-leg steel elevated storage tank including painting and coating.
B. Tank accessories replacements
C. Site Work – Clearing and limb removal; Fence segment replacement.
D. Altitude valve and valve vault.
E. Union County Emblem Logos to be painted on tank.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

Bid Info:   Sealed Bids will be received by the Union County Procurement Department, Union County Government Center*, at 500 N. Main Street, Monroe, North Carolina 28112, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. This public bid opening will be conducted outdoors, in the front entrance area of the Union County Government Center address listed above. If you plan to attend the bid opening, social distancing rules apply.
*Beginning at 1:30 PM local time, bids will be received by the Union County Procurement Department at the bid opening location, outdoors in the front entrance area of the Union County Government Center at 500 North Main Street, Monroe, NC 28112.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing via email to Corey Brooks, Procurement Specialist at corey.brooks@unioncountync.gov. Deadline for questions is 5pm on October 15, 2021. The Procurement representative will secure applicable answers from WK Dickson & Co., Inc. and/or Union County staff accordingly. If needed an addendum will be issued.

Bidders must have a license to do work as a general contractor in the State of North Carolina, as set forth under Article 1 of Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. The Contractor’s North Carolina License number shall be designated on the outside of the envelope containing the bid.

Bidders are required to comply with the non-collusion requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Union County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner further reserves the right to reject the Bid and Bidder whom they find, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. Owner may also reject Bid and Bidder if the Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserve the right to waive all informalities and technicalities not involving price, time or changes in the Work and to negotiate, as allowed by law, contract terms with the Successful Bidder.
