Liberty, SC - Pickens County Airport (LQK) - Runway 05-23 Pavement Rehabilitation and Crossfield Apron and Taxiway Development (20200673.00.CA)
Schedule #1 – LQK Runway 05-23 Pavement Rehabilitation
This project consists of pavement rehabilitation of the Pickens County Airport runway. The existing asphalt runway is approximately 5,000 feet long by 100’ wide and will be rehabilitated with new asphalt pavement. Schedule #1 work includes: milling, asphalt paving, pavement marking, shoulder grading, and minor adjustments to the airfield electrical system (e.g., relocation and adjustment of existing airfield lights) in accordance with specifications for construction published by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The project also includes installation and maintenance of temporary erosion control measures.
Schedules #2 & #3 – LQK Crossfield Apron and Taxiway Development
This project consists of construction of a new partial parallel taxiway and general aviation apron at the Pickens County Airport. Schedules #2 and #3 work includes: grubbing of the site, excavation of embankment material from on-site and from the property located across Moorefield Memorial Highway, site grading, construction of stormwater conveyance and detention systems, asphalt paving, pavement marking, and installation of perimeter security fencing in accordance with specifications for construction published by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The project also includes installation and maintenance of temporary erosion control measures.
