Public Projects

The work will consist of the construction of up to 6,200 linear feet of new 12-inch water main. Bidders for the project are asked to provide two (2) separate bids; one for the Base Bid and a second for the Alternative Bid 1. The length of pipe and proposed boundaries for each bid are detailed below, and specific bid quantities can be found in : * Base Bid – Consists of approximately 5,000 linear feet (LF) of new 12-inch water main along East Main Street to the west corner of Hays. St. located within the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) right-of-way. * Alternate Bid 1 – Consists of approximately 1,200 linear feet (LF) of new 12-inch water main along East Main Street from the west corner of Hays. St. to the west side of N. Adair St. located within the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) right-of-way.

The work for division 1.A will consist of constructing the proposed RO4 well, monitoring well, site piping, electrical work, electrical building, site work and associated appurtenances. The work for division 2.A will consist of constructing approximately 1,324-LF of 12” PVC transmission main, approximately 130-LF of 24” steel casing bored and jacked, approximately 715-LF of 14” HDPE horizontal directional drill and associated appurtenances. The work for division 1.B will consist of constructing the proposed ASR2 well, monitoring well, site piping, electrical work, electrical and chemical feed building, site work and associated appurtenances. The work for division 2.B will consist of constructing approximately 368- LF of 12” PVC transmission main, approximately 162-LF of 24” steel casing bored and jacked and associated appurtenances.

This project consists of demolition of an existing 20’x10’ block storage building, demolition of 450 SY of existing concrete ramp, and backfill and abandonment of an existing oil/water separator. Project will also include construction of a pre-engineered canopy, construction of approximately 370 SY of concrete pavement, replacement of an existing grinder pump system, including associated plumbing and electrical work, and other incidental items necessary to complete the project.

The work will consist of expansion of the water treatment plant (WTP) from 8 million gallons per day (MGD) to 10 MGD

Construction of 12 MGD capacity raw water intake to draw water from the Willbrook Canal

The work will consist of construction of upgrades to expand the Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant (RO WTP) from 4 million gallons per day (MGD) to 6 MGD, including the addition of two anti-scalant feed pumps, two booster pumps and membrane treatment units, sodium hypochlorite bulk storage and feed system, emergency generator and switchgear, asphalt paving, piping, valves, electrical and SCADA modifications, and appurtenances.

The Project includes the following Work: The project will replace and re-align approximately 420 linear feet of 42-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP) with 42” Reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) along with 6 drainage structures. Over the last several years, a sinkhole has appeared in the greenspace between the fire department and Ridge Street NW above the 42-inch CMP pipe system. The CMP storm drainage system from West Avenue NW to Ridge Street NW is in a state of failure. This project will abandon approximately 210 linear feet of existing 42-inch CMP in place, replace or relocate approximately 271 linear feet of 8” Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) sanitary sewer along with 3 sanitary sewer manholes, and miscellaneous grading to repair the sinkhole. Foundation protection will be installed on the north side of the fire department building. The existing storm drainage and sanitary sewer systems are 25 ft and 30 ft deep, respectively, and special consideration will need to be taken to provide sheeting/shoring during construction. Utility coordination, traffic control, erosion control, and site improvements are also included within the scope of this project.

The work completed will include installation of a bioretention area and associated plantings and locating and repairing or replacing drainage infrastructure.

The Public Works Stormwater Pipe Improvements Phase 2 project includes rerouting, replacing, and upsizing the existing storm drainage system from approximately 1,300 feet upstream of Beatty Street to the existing upstream headwall on Skinner Street with an 8’X8’ RCBC within the general area of the City of Greenville Public Works Yard. Traffic control and erosion control are also included within the scope of this project.

The City of Lancaster (Owner) is proposing to construct a floodproofing and optimization project. The project is located within the Catawba River WWTP (SC0046892) property limits. The proposed project will include construction of a new influent pump station, headworks facility, covered sludge storage facility, various force mains and process piping, a SCADA system, an equalization basin mixing system, oxidation ditch aeration and hydraulic improvements, clarifier improvements and rehab, and conversion of the anaerobic selector to a sludge holding tank.
