Public Projects

The work will consist of the construction of a new groundwater well on a 1-acre site on Brick Chimney Road with supporting equipment to support drilling to the Charleston Aquifer at an approximate depth of 1,200 feet. The well will include a pump capable of delivering 500 GPM and be supported by Variable Frequency Drive controllers, asphalt and gravel access, associated drainage, site fencing, piping, valves, electrical and SCADA/Control system, and appurtenances as well as a chlorination system housed in a prefabricated concrete building. The well will connect to the existing 10” waterline along Brick Chimney Road.

Construction of proposed permeable pavers at the intersection of Roland Avenue and South Shore Drive, which will reduce flooding on South Shore Drive. The proposed infiltration system includes approximately 315 linear feet of 15” RCP (Reinforced Concrete Pipe), five (5) standard NCDOT traffic bearing drop inlets, approximately 442 square yards of permeable pavers, traffic control, and minor utility relocations.

The Project consists of constructing approximately 940 linear feet of 2-inch water mains, 10 linear feet of 6-inch water mains, 10,420 linear feet of 8-in water mains, 3,510 linear feet of 12-in water mains and related appurtenances on S Potter Rd, Tom Greene Rd, Tom Starnes Rd, and Public Drive off Tom Starnes Rd.

The project includes furnishing of labor, material and equipment for the rehabilitation of the existing asphalt pavement for Runway 17-35 along with its associated lighting and signage, the rehabilitation of a portion of the existing asphalt pavement for Runway 05-23 and portions of the existing asphalt pavement for the connector taxiways.

The project scope will include the construction of one 80’x100’Corporate Hangar building with a bathroom (building plans are performance based). Service utilities will be extended to the proposed hangar. The hangar site preparation will include a concrete paved apron (approximately 778 SY’s) that ties into the adjacent taxiway with the associated grading and drainage. The project also includes an asphalt parking lot for auto access (approximately 110 tons of asphalt).

Construction of a proposed infiltration system at the intersection of Seahorse Avenue and South Shore Drive, which will reduce flooding on South Shore Drive. The proposed infiltration system at the intersection of Seahorse Avenue and South Shore Drive includes approximately 85 linear feet of 18” HDPE ((High-density polyethylene) pipe, two (2) standard NCDOT traffic bearing drop inlets, one (1) standard NCDOT manhole, approximately 325 square yards of permeable pavers, minor utility relocations and infiltration chambers totaling approximately 675 square feet.

The project consists of new construction to include, without limitation, site preparation and improvements, utility services to and throughout, concrete foundations and pad, and erection thereon of a steel framed structure with light gage roof trusses. The exterior is comprised of insulated metal wall panels, insulated glazing units, and standing seam metal roof panels. The project includes construction of the interior, upfit, and finishing of the building to produce the Laurinburg-Maxton Airport Terminal Building as shown and defined in the Contract Documents.

The Project consists of the rehabilitation of seven sanitary sewer collection system pump stations. Rehabilitation activities include, but are not limited to, replacement of pump(s) and associated appurtenances (guide rails, discharge piping, valves, etc.), epoxy coating/lining of existing wet wells, electrical and control upgrades, installation of air release valves, site improvements including replacement and/or expansion of perimeter fencing, driveway/access improvements, and relocation/addition to electrical panel racks and shelters

The project will include the demolition of the existing terminal building and construction of the new terminal building within the same footprint. The project will also include re-construction of the adjacent access drive and parking area for the terminal building. The site work will involve removal of approximately 1800 square yards of asphalt pavement, approximately 1,500 cubic yards of unclassified excavation, approximately 2,100 square yards of 12” deep crushed aggregate base course, and approximately 525 tons of asphalt pavement. The site development will also include about 600 linear feet of storm pipe, and water and sewer service laterals.

Upgrades to existing WWTP including, but not limited to, new access gate, new electrical building, new mechanical drum screen, new aeration blower and aeration manifold, digester, and aeration basin improvements.
