Rehabilitation of existing sewer infrastructure within the City of Southport, NC and new construction of approx. 9,000 LF of 8-inch sanitary sewer force main connecting Park Ave Pump Station to the manifold force main connection on Hwy 211 in Southport

Installation of CIPP approx. 5,329 LF of the Ashley Interceptor Sanitary Sewer, including 577 LF of 42-incg and 4,752 LF of 36" gravity sewers. Rehabilitation of 25 manholess

The work will consist of rehabilitation of existing gravity sewer manholes in the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority’s (OJRSA) system within existing OJRSA easements and South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Right-of-Ways ROW. The work consists of approximately 391 LF of 15” Cured-In-Place Pipe, 70 manhole rehabilitation using calcium aluminum cementitious liner system with epoxy, pressure grouting interior manholes for leak prevention, replace and removal of select frame and covers, select manhole cone/chimney replacement, and flow control/bypass pumping associated stream crossing, soil stabilization, dewatering and site restoration.

Providing approx 11,500 LF of 6-inch DIP watermain and approx 62 service replacements.

Installation of new wet well, three (3) new manholes, approximately 70-linear feet of 18-inch gravity sewer, approximately 60-linear feet of 24-inch gravity sewer, new VFD’s and a new magnetic meter. Additionally, the project includes re-piping the existing valve vault, reconnection to the existing force main, replacement of pumps, bypass pumping and all other work as shown in the bid documents.

Work of the Project generally includes: Removal and replacement of approximately 500-LF of existing 10” PVC force main, approximately 400-LF of existing 12” force main, three (3) air release valves and associated appurtenances.

Rehabilitation and enhancement of the sewer collection system

Schedule A – Apron Expansion Includes sediment basins for primary erosion control, approximately 58,000 cubic yards of embankment in place, approximately 1,200 linear feet of storm pipe, approximately 2,300 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base course, and approximately 2,300 tons of asphalt surface course (S9,5B). Schedule B – Partial Parallel Taxiway Includes sediment basins for primary erosion control, approximately 57,000 cubic yards of embankment in place, approximately 1,500 linear feet of storm pipe, approximately 2,100 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base course, approximately 2,100 tons of asphalt surface course (S9,5B), and edge lighting / signage for the new partial parallel taxiway system.

Construction of proposed permeable pavers at the intersection of Roland Avenue and South Shore Drive, which will reduce flooding on South Shore Drive. The proposed infiltration system includes approximately 43 linear feet of 12” Class V RCP (Reinforced Concrete Pipe), 116 LF of 6” PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), one (1) traffic bearing drop inlet (TBDI), approximately 442 square yards of permeable pavers, traffic control, and erosion control.

The Project consists of constructing approximately 4,000 linear feet total of 10-inch HDPE gravity sewer lines installed via pipe bursting, 8-inch PVC and DIP sewer line installed via traditional open-cut, repairing and replacing manholes, as needed, reconnection of sewer services, and abandonment of the existing small-diameter gravity sewer line in Waxhaw. Most of the sewer lines will replace existing small diameter gravity sewer in their existing alignments, installed via pipe bursting. The project involves both pipe bursting methods and conventional open-cut construction methods. Work also includes traffic control, bypass pumping, erosion control, testing, and surface restoration within the project limits.
